Boys and Girls Club’s race for kids a success

Jun 4, 2018 | 5:00 PM

The fourth edition of the Battlefords Boys and Girls Club’s Race for Kids was held last Saturday, and was an instant success.

Six teams participated in the event, which was lower than the Club initially expected. The feedback from those who did participate was all positive, from the beginning of the day to the after party.

“Any time we saw any of the teams racing around town, even though they were running a lot, they all had smiles on their faces,” Executive Director Nicole Combres said. “Our volunteers at our checkpoints all said that everyone had a really great time.”

When all was said and done, the club raised $21,931, which is going directly to the Boys and Girls Club, something Combres said is crucial for them.
