McHappy Day in North Battleford celebrates milestone

May 2, 2018 | 8:00 AM

Even though every McHappy Day is a special occasion for Sharon Taylor and her staff at McDonalds in North Battleford, today’s celebration will be even more special as they celebrate 25 years of helping local kids through Ronald McDonald House (RMH) and Ronald McDonald Children’s Charities.

Today, with every purchase of a Big Mac sandwich, Happy Meal, or hot McCafe beverage, $1 will go to Ronald McDonald House in Saskatoon.

The Saskatoon Ronald McDonald House, which opened in 1985, has become a “home away from home” for thousands of families each year allowing parents to stay close to their children while they heal in hospital. Last year’s final tally between food and merchandise sales and donations netted just over $10,000 for Ronald McDonald House.

CJNB, Q98 and 93.3 The Rock personalities will be on location at the McDonalds location on Railway Ave. throughout today to help with the celebrations.
