Game three of SPHL finals tonight

Mar 13, 2018 | 12:00 PM

Game three of the Saskatchewan Prairie Hockey League finals is set to be played tonight at Battleford Arena, where either the Meota Combines or Hafford Hawks will move closer to clinching the series.

The Combines took game one of the best three-of-five on Friday with a 2-1 victory, before the Hawks rebounded with a 4-3 win Sunday night.

Hawks forward Kobe Kindrachuk leads the scorers in the finals so far with four points, thanks to his Sunday hat trick.

Both teams needed all five games to win each of their first two series and advance to the finals. The Combines topped Edam 3-2 in one semifinal, while Hafford edged the Battleford Beaver Blues 3-2 in the other.
