A youth sustained minor injuries after being struck by a motor vehicle near the Battleford Central School on Monday.

Corp. The youth ran around the vehicle and into the street and directly in front of another van.

“In light of this week’s week accident, we ask parents and caregivers to please go over the rules of the road with their children so that mishaps do not happen,” Fenrich said. “Luckily the young person here escaped without serious injury however it could have been a lot worse.”

According to Fenrich the youngster did not look either way before running out in front of the van. The youth was taken to hospital as a precaution and no charges are pending.
