Weather forces bus cancellations again

Whiteout conditions on many of the roadways have the province warning motorists to stay off the highways around Lloydminster, Unity, Biggar, Meadow Lake and the Battlefords today.

Gusting winds of up to 90 km have reduced visibility on many highways in the area and as a result has forced the cancellation of several buses and closed some schools in the area this morning.

-The buses for Thunderchild First Nation will not be running this morning and the school has been closed for the day.

-Sweetgrass School is opening later this morning

-All Unity, Macklin, Luseland, Wilkie and Cut Knife buses within the Living Sky School Division are not running today.

-Sakewew School Bus not running today however the school is open.

-Saulteaux school buses not running this morning and school is closed

-There are no buses running to the Maymont Central School today however the school is open.

The winds are expected to taper off this afternoon.
