Fire ban issued for all Sask. provincial parks

Aug 31, 2017 | 2:28 PM

People visiting Saskatchewan’s provincial parks over the Labour Day weekend won’t be able to enjoy a traditional campfire.

The province has issued a ban on open fires in every provincial park for the weekend, as dry conditions have led to extreme
fire risks across much of Saskatchewan.

Charcoal briquettes and propane barbeques will still be allowed.

The ban comes as crews deal with 34 fires province-wide, including three out-of-control blazes near Pelican Narrows.
