Busy 24 hours at Craven for RCMP

Jul 15, 2017 | 1:50 PM

Some at Craven Country Thunder seem to be having quite a blast but others are keeping RCMP busy. In the last 24 hours, RCMP have received 32 calls for service. Among them are six assaults, one resulting in charges and one sexual assault, which RCMP say was a reported incident of unwanted and inappropriate physical contact over clothing. It was investigated and the victim did not wish to pursue charges.

RCMP say they understand people are having fun, but have noticed some attendees feel inspired to “dance like nobody’s watching.” They would like to remind them, in fact, people are and they are encouraging people to wear clothes.
