RCMP investigate early morning car fire

May 1, 2017 | 10:00 AM

Calling it a deliberate act, Battlefords RCMP are continuing their investigation into a fire which destroyed a car.

RCMP were called to the scene during the early morning hours of April 19 and found a red Pontiac Sunfire fully engulfed. The car was parked on the shoulder of Highway 16 in the west bound lane, west of North Battleford. There were no injuries.

Last year RCMP reported a number of stolen vehicles were found destroyed by fire.

Police also remind residents not to leave your keys in your vehicle.
