Comedy wraps up Theatrefest 2017

Apr 29, 2017 | 9:00 AM

Theatrefest 2017 wraps up this evening with its final performance.

Skin Flick marks the third production of the week from playwright Norm Foster and is presented by the Swift Current Little Theatre troupe.  Other works that were presented this week were The Love List and Hilda’s Yard.

Skin Flick is a satirical play about four ordinary, middle-aged people who get caught up in the business of making a pornographic film after facing unemployment.  Despite a language and adult content warning concerning the racy topic in this farce, the play has a charming side and is filled with laughs.

“It is tongue in cheek, but really it is not as bad as you think,” says actor Ken Johnson.” We say that there is a language warning, but that all gets dealt with in probably the first five minutes.”
