Jan 10, 2017 | 12:13 PM

A well respected member of the professional bullriding circuit has passed away far too soon.

Ty Pozzobon, only 25-years-old, died suddenly on Monday.

“Ty Pozzobon was a cowboy through and through and loved being a professional bull rider,” PBR CEO Sean Gleason said in a statement on the PBR website.  “His infectious personality and enthusiasm for doing what he loved touched so many of us, and we will remember him always.”

Pozzobon, from Merritt, BC, was a seven-year PBR veteran with 71 qualified rides on the Built Ford Tough Series. Last November, he earrned $97,000 with a fourth place finish at the PBR World Finals. He qualiified three times for the Canadian Finals Rodeo.

A spokesperson for PBR said Pozzobon’s death was not bullriding related, but would not elaborate saying it would be up to the family to disclose the information.

Funeral arrangements for Pozzobon are pending. PBR will recognize and celebrate Ty’s life beginning this weekend in Chicago.
