Man bear sprayed walking at night in N.B.

According to police, a man was bear sprayed by three youths walking home from a North Battleford bar on Tuesday, Dec. 6.

According to a news release, Battlefords RCMP received the report of a bear spray attack at 6:30 a.m. on Dec. 6. Police said the man was walking home from a bar in the early morning hours when he was sprayed by the unidentified youths. The investigation is ongoing.

RCMP responded to two other assaults Tuesday, one in a parking lot and one at a high school.

Just after noon, RCMP responded to a domestic assault in a business parking lot. The victim of the assault was located at the business and the assailant was located later in the area. Charges are pending against a 33-year-old Poundmaker man.
