RCMP make several arrests overnight in N.B. area

Battlefords RCMP made arrests in three separate incidents Monday night and Tuesday morning.

Police responded to an assault in progress at a residence in Moosomin First Nation at roughly 11:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 21, according to a news release. A 34-year-old man was arrested on scene and faces charges of assault with a weapon. Police said more charges may come during their investigation.

At nearly 1 a.m. Tuesday police responded to a disturbance at a residence on 104th St. in North Battleford. A 44-year-old man was arrested and faces two charges of assault and one charge of uttering threats.

Police then arrested a 27-year-old man at roughly 2:30 a.m. after a reported break-and-enter on 97th Dr. in North Battleford. He faces charges of breaking and entering and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
