One dead in fatal collision west of Shellbrook

One man is deceased after a head-on collision between a car and semi-truck.

On Nov. 21, at roughly 6 p.m., Shellbrook RCMP were called to a two vehicle collision approximately 20 km west of Shellbrook on Highway 3. 

The driver of the car, a 67-year-old female from the Shellbrook area was transported to hospital non-life threatening injuries. The passenger of the car, a 71-year-old male also from the Shellbrook area was pronounced deceased on the scene.

The driver of the semi and lone occupant, a 30-year-old male from Edmonton, was assessed on scene by EMS and released.
