RCMP respond to nearly 50 incidents on Saturday

It’s been a busy long weekend for Battlefords RCMP. 

In a 24-hour period from Saturday, Nov. 12 to Sunday, Nov. 13, police responded to roughly 50 incidents. 

They responded to the attempted theft of a vehicle on Thompson Crescent in North Battleford around 8:30 a.m. The male suspect was described as 6’0″ with a heavier build and carrying a blanket. 

There were reports near 3:30 a.m. Sunday morning of youth checking vehicles in the 2100 block of 101 St. Crescent. It’s believed to be related to three youths who were arrested overnight for similar offences.

On Saturday at approximately 11:30 p.m., a 20-year-old woman was arrested and charged with assault with a weapon after allegedly causing minor injuries to a man’s head and face.
