Man arrested in ‘Epic RCMP Takedown’ video sentenced

A man whose arrest was captured on video in April has been sentenced.
On Oct. 20 in North Battleford Provincial Court, Randall Nicotine was handed a four-year jail sentence less time spent in custody. He was convicted of four counts of assault, assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, resisting arrest and two counts of breach of probation.
According to a news release from the RCMP, Nicotine admitted several offences he was found guilty of were for the benefit of a criminal organization, which was factored into his sentence.
His arrest on April 4 was captured on a passing motorist’s dash cam and the video has since gone viral, garnering more than 100,000 views.
