Two N.B. men share $1 million lotto prize

Two friends from North Battleford are a million dollars richer after a recent lotto win.

John Gabor and Alvin Wick won $1 million on their shared ticket for the Aug. 19 Western Max draw. According to a release, the two checked got together one afternoon and scanned tickets through the Lottery Manager app where they found out about the win.

The two winners have known each other for 30 years, have played the lottery together for the past 14 and are glad to share the win.

Gabor and Wick bought the ticket from Esso on 100th Street in North Battleford. They matched all the numbers in one of the seven winning selections drawn for $1 million prizes on the evening’s draw.
