3 charged in suspected Medstead grow-op

A search of a suspected grow operation in the RM of Medstead has resulted in three arrested.

The search warrant was executed the morning of Friday, Sept. 16.

RCMP said a large quantity of marijuana plants, packaged marijuana, cash and firearms have been seized.

Cory Graham, 44, Melanie Boulette, 34, both from the RM of Medstead area, and Oscar Gutierrez-Reyes, 34, from Ontario were arrested.

They’re charged with the production of cannabis, possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime. Additional charges will be laid for other firearm related offences.

All three will appear in North Battlefords Provincial Court on Monday, Sept. 19.

Multiple detachments are involved in the investigations including Turtleford, North Battleford Provincial and Municipal GIS, North Battleford PDS, Battleford’s Detachment, Integrated Organized Crime Unit from Saskatoon and Regina Emergency Response Team.
