Flying Dust First Nation celebrates 12th annual powwow

Members of Flying Dust First Nation celebrated in style for their 12th annual powwow.

It started Friday, Sept. 2 and featured three days of dancing and music for the hundreds of spectators.

The powwow began with off-and-on rainfall, but every perservered.

Waterhen’s junior drummers, as host drum, opened the ceremonies.

Prior to the grand entry, Flying Dust veterans were recognized in a flag ceremony.
