An early morning vehicle crash has left an overturned semi tanker on the railway tracks at the intersection of Highway 16 and Thatcher Ave.

The right-hand lane eastbound on Highway 16 towards Saskatoon is closed, and the turning lane onto Thatcher Ave. is blocked off by the tanker and emergency crews. RCMP at the scene said it would take approximately three hours for equipment and crews to arrive, and road access to reopen. RCMP also said CN Rail had been notified of the track blockage.

The tanker was carrying an unknown liquid which was spilt along the tracks and the intersection.

Injuries are unknown at this time.
