A man appeared in court today to face charges including fleeing police, possessing bear spray and a pellet gun during a weekend incident.

Creedance Pierre Stone, 18, of North Battleford was previously wanted by Saskatoon police before he was charged with failing to comply with a probation order, possession of a weapon and resisting arrest, according to an RCMP release.

Battlefords RCMP responded to a call from Battlefords Union Hospital about a man with a firearm outside the building on Saturday, Aug. 6.

When RCMP approached the suspect, he fled on foot and a chase ensued. Police found Stone hiding in a backyard under a play set and arrested him.
