Crash near Cut Knife claims life

RCMP said a 19-year-old female from Altona, Man. was pronounced deceased at scene and the 18-year-old male driver, also from Altona, was transported to hospital with unknown injuries. There is no update on the injuries to the driver.

The Cut Knife RCMP continue with the investigation with the assistance of an RCMP Collision Reconstructionist.

One person has been killed and another taken to the hospital, in a crash just outside Cut Knife.

RCMP reported the collision just before 8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 1, but did not give a specific time, information on the victims, or the number of vehicles involved.

The collision happened three km west of Cut Knife on Highway 40. A portion of the highway was closed in both directions for several hours.
