Environment Canada issued a number of weather warnings and watches for parts of the province on Wednesday.

Severe thunderstorm warnings were issued for  several parts of central Saskatchewan, including the areas around Prince Albert and Prince Albert National Park, La Ronge, Shellbrook, Spiritwood and Duck Lake.

In the southeast, a tornado warning was in effect as of 4 p.m. for the areas around Carlyle, Oxbow, Carnduff, Bienfait and Stoughton.

A severe thunderstorm watch, which is considered slightly less serious than a warning, was issued for Moosomin, Grenfell, Kipling and Wawota areas in the province’s southeast.
