Loud, “intimate sounds” cause RCMP to dispatch

Jun 6, 2016 | 12:00 PM

Several calls from different locations over the weekend led the Meadow Lake RCMP to respond to pranks of an intimate nature.

Cpl. Ryan How said calls were received from residents on the evening of Saturday, June 4 and the morning of Sunday, June 5 reporting very loud, intimate sounds being played over what is believed to be a loudspeaker or intercom.

“The (RCMP) members responded and weren’t able to find anything out of sorts there and there was no noise when we showed up so we think it was just someone playing pranks,” he said. “With grad and a few get togethers on over the weekend we think it was just some people playing pranks.”

Cpl. How added the RCMP simply would like to remind everyone to respect the noise bylaw and neighbors, regardless of the source of the noise.
