Second arrest made in Flying Dust assault case

A second arrest has been made in a nearly two month old assault case.

Prince Albert resident, Dustin Whitedeer, 21, has been charged with 10 criminal offences including forcible confinement, disguise with intent to commit and careless use of a firearm in a mid-April assault. Her next court appearance is scheduled for June.

On April 14, a senior resident of the Flying Dust First Nation was the victim of a home invasion. According to police, he was assaulted and robbed at gun point.

The second suspect, 34 year-old Zachary Esau was arrested shortly after the incident and has been in custody since the alleged assault. His next court appearance is set for Sept. 20.
