Garth Brooks releases more tickets for Saskatoon shows

May 26, 2016 | 2:39 PM

If six shows weren’t enough, more seats have opened for fans to see country superstar Garth Brooks in Saskatoon.

Additional tickets for all six performances went on sale Thursday at 10 a.m.

The shows mark 20 years since Brooks played Saskatchewan.

The country singer broke records when the initial tickets went on sale April 29. He sold more than 86,000 tickets for SaskTel Centre, at a pace of 42 seats a second.

The previous record of 80,127 tickets sold was held by the Rolling Stones when they played two shows, October 6 and 8, 2006 at Mosaic Stadium in Regina.

An eight-ticket purchase limit is in place; the same as the first round of Brooks’ seat sales.

The price for tickets is inclusive at $79.98, which includes taxes, fees and service charges.

People can buy the next round of seats at all Ticketmaster outlets, onlineor by phone at 1-855-985-5500 or 1-855-985-5000.

Limited seat selection and quantities are available. Fans have also been warned to avoid scams, and to be aware of paperless ticket rules.
