Civic Centre graffiti frustrates city offical
Cleaning graffiti on tough to reach places can be expensive and it’s getting on the nerves of the city official in charge of cleaning it up.
“It’s really frustrating,” Bill Samborski, North Battleford’s director of leisure services, said. “By the time we rent a lift, buy the paint and hire some people to go and paint over it, we are looking at $1,500 to $2,000.”
Samborski often has to remove graffiti around the city and said it isn’t a big deal when it is on the ground. Where it gets expensive is when it’s up high.
The roof of the Civic Centre in North Battleford has been vandalized twice in the last month.
