Four highways in the northwest slated for repairs
Several highways in the northwest region will be getting makeovers thanks to the 2016-2017 provincial budget.
Highway 16 near Maymont, Highway 376 between Maymont and Asquith, Highway 340 north of Radisson and Highway 26 near Turtleford are a few of the highways on the list for repairs and maintenance this year.
Highway 376 and Highway 340 were both voted into the 2016 Worst Roads list by CAA Saskatchewan, a yearly poll ranking the worst ten roads in the province.
These four highways are part of the province’s Highways 2020 Plan, which is expected to take three years and cost $70 million. This year, the highways on the list will each get part of an allocated $30 million.
