Edam motocross track attracts riders from around the province
Saskatchewan may not feature many mountain trails for motocross riders to explore, but a track in Edam is garnering praise from riders across the province.
Terrell Cole of Edam said he and his friend Jordan Dunlop spent their free time over the past four years constructing the track, which began as a personal project they wanted to do.
“We had a few jumps in the pasture. The first year we built two or three and then the next year we built a few more,” Cole explained. “It started kind of catching on so we finished it up and I would say it’s one of the best tracks in Saskatchewan. We had riders come out and give us input and last year was the first year we opened it up to the public.”
If their first race of the season is any indication, this track will be a big hit. Over 230 people came to the track for the race over the May ;ong weekend with 60 racers. Cole said they have another race planned for June 4.
