She went back to school at Fraternity School where her mother was teaching. It was at one of the school dances where she met her future husband, Peter Hrynewich. Ruth and Peter married on June 15, 1951. They lived in a very small two-bedroom log house with 3 small children, no electricity or running water, with Peter’s parents for seven years. They then built their own house across the road on their own quarter of land. Into this marriage they welcomed four children, Stanley, David, Diane, Mary, Linda Ann, Catherine Rose. From these four children she gained 13 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, & 13 great great grandchildren. Give or take a few! She enjoyed being involved with her children’s activities and continued that with her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She was always ready to help out pinching perogies, picking berries, babysitting and anything else that was asked of her. Ruth moved to Tower One in North Battleford after the passing of her husband Peter in 2006. She continued to live there for 19 years.
