Onion Lake woman among two charged in Saskatoon weapons investigation
A woman from Onion Lake and a Saskatoon man are facing charges after officers found a sawed-off rifle, baton and taser during a high-risk traffic stop over the weekend.
Saskatoon police said officers were called to the 300 block of Douglas Crescent at about 2:50 p.m. on Sunday, following a report of suspicious activity involving weapons.
“Four people matching suspect descriptions were spotted attempting to flee in a Jeep Cherokee.”
Officers conducted a high-risk traffic stop and searched the vehicle and its occupants, locating those items.
