Highway 302 work near Prince Albert to continue into 2027
A $13.5-million project to improve Highway 302 east of Prince Albert is expected to continue into next year, the province said Friday.
Work began in June at the intersection of 15th Street East and 15th Avenue and extends more than 11 kilometres east along Highway 302. The project includes grading, paving, replacing 15 culverts and improving intersections at Hazelwood Road/River Road and Sunshine Road.
Highways Minister Kim Gartner highlighted the project Friday as he urged drivers to slow down around construction crews.
“Whether crews are working on bridges, resurfacing highways or completing other improvements, every project is about keeping Saskatchewan moving safely and reliably,” Gartner said. “As construction continues into the fall, I encourage drivers to slow down, follow work-zone signage and give crews the space they need to get the job done safely.”
