This year’s attractions include bouncy castles, a dunk tank, a petting zoo, face painting, crafts, airbrush tattoos and carnival games. Saskatchewan Indian Institute of Technologies (SIIT) is providing the festival with more bouncy castles than in previous years.

“Obviously, the crafts and the face painting and the airbrush tattoos, the kids always seem to be lined up for that,” Humenny said. 

“If the lineup is long, maybe take a break, go to the bouncy castles, hit up the dunk tank.”

The North Stars will operate the dunk tank, while a three-on-three street hockey tournament will give spectators another event to watch.

Stereo Playground will headline the live entertainment and perform three sets. The lineup also includes Zeta and Addie Bennett, along with a 30-minute performance from Annette’s School of Dance.

Food trucks will be on site, and some local businesses will hold sidewalk sales during the festival.

Humenny said the event depends on support from community sponsors, including SIIT, Tim Hortons, SaskTel, SaskEnergy, Battle River Treaty 6 Health Centre, Danish Home Bakery and Home Hardware.
