COPP helps reunite 99 children during Northwest Territorial Days, eases pressure on Battlefords RCMP
Decades before Paul Robertson began helping reunite lost children with their families in the Battlefords, he experienced the fear the program is designed to prevent.
The vice-president of the Battlefords Citizens on Patrol Program (COPP) said he lost his daughter for six or seven hours many years ago while living in Britain.
“And it does bring back memories, which are not very good,” Robertson said. “No child should be lost.”
His daughter was eventually found, but Robertson said the experience was “traumatic.”
