North Battleford golfer bounces back from nationals with first hole-in-one, 10-stroke win
Natalie Maunula left her first national championship without the scores she wanted.
Not too long after, the 14-year-old North Battleford golfer had her first hole-in-one, a 64-foot birdie putt and a 10-stroke victory.
Maunula shot rounds of 75 and 76 for a two-day total of 151 to win the Girls U15 division at the Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour event Aug. 29 and 30 at The Legends Golf Club in Warman.
The tournament, the final Saskatchewan stop on the MJT’s 2026 calendar, drew a waitlisted field of 114 golfers. Maunula recorded six birdies, with her biggest first coming early in the opening round.
