Heavy rainfall warning in effect for North Central Sask.
An area that includes Prince Albert, Battlefords, Melfort, Saskatoon and south down to Yorkton is under a heavy rainfall warning.
Environment and Climate Change Canada said a low pressure system is expected to begin in southern Saskatchewan this afternoon. Rain will continue through to Monday evening.
Rainfall totals are expected to be 50 to 60 mm. Locally higher amounts up to 80 to 100 mm are possible in thunderstorms.
The weather service said water will likely pool on roads and in low-lying areas. Some travel delays and local utility outages are possible.
