Successful trade show highlights growing volunteer challenge for North Battleford Lions
Another successful trade show is helping the North Battleford Lions Club continue giving back to the community, but finding enough volunteers to keep it going is becoming the bigger challenge.
The Lions held their 18th annual trade show over the weekend of Aug. 15 and 16 at the Battleford Arena, with about 50 vendors and steady traffic throughout the event.
Club president Tyler Jess said about 40 people were waiting in the lobby when the doors opened Saturday morning. The show typically draws between 1,000 and 1,500 people over two days.
“It’s a good show as far as the vendors; there’s lots of traffic,” Jess said.
