Sharks’ Weber, Mucha bring national camp experience home
A pair of Battlefords Sharks players had the opportunity to travel to Richmond, B.C., in early August to participate in Hockey Canada’s national women’s under-18 selection camp.
Forward Brooke Weber and defenceman Savannah Mucha were the first Sharks players in franchise history to try out for Canada’s U18 squad.
“It was an amazing experience. I got to meet a lot of new people and got to learn a whole bunch of new things,” Weber said.
“We were on the ice quite a bit, so it was cool to be around other great players from around the country, and it was amazing to wear the maple leaf on the front of our jersey. Overall, I had a lot of fun and learned new things.”
