Battlefords RCMP respond to over 60 calls on Wednesday night

Battlefords RCMP reported receiving more than 60 calls for service between 6 p.m. July 29 and 6 a.m. July 30.
The calls included the following serious assaults:
- Battlefords RCMP received a report of a serious assault at a residence on Sweetgrass First Nation at approximately 11 p.m. July 29. Officers have been searching for the suspects using a Remotely Piloted Aircraft System. Police are asking anyone with information to contact Battlefords RCMP at 310-RCMP. Information can also be submitted anonymously through Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or online at www.saskcrimestoppers.com.
- Battlefords RCMP received a report of a serious assault at a park in North Battleford at approximately 4 a.m. July 30. A woman was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Officers arrested a suspect at the scene. Charges have not been formally laid and police are therefore unable to identify the individual.
