More North Battleford streets to see roadwork as summer paving ramps up
Drivers across North Battleford can expect more traffic disruptions over the next six weeks as the city’s summer road construction program expands into additional neighbourhoods, with paving scheduled on more than a dozen streets through the remainder of July and August.
The work is part of the city’s Underground Pipe and Asphalt Replacement (UPAR) program, which includes surface rehabilitation on several roads this season and carryover work in Parsons Industrial Park.
City council awarded the spring and summer paving contract to K & S Asphalt Services Ltd. for $3.17 million, with the work budgeted at about $3.8 million.
Roadwork over the coming weeks is scheduled on 13th Avenue, sections of 16th Avenue and 25th Avenue, Gregory Drive, Riverside Drive, Trudeau Street, Martin Crescent, Laurier Crescent, Winder Crescent and several other residential streets.
