It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Marie Buckley (Taylor) on June 11, 2026. Following a courageous battle with cancer, she passed peacefully surrounded by the love of her family.
Born on December 12, 1946, Marie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She dedicated her life to her family, creating a home filled with laughter, comfort, and cherished memories. Her strength, grace, and determination throughout her illness reflected the character that inspired all who knew and loved her.
Marie found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved cooking and baking for her family, expressing her love through every meal and homemade treat she shared. She took great pride in her garden, finding peace and happiness among her flowers and plants. She also enjoyed sewing and creating thoughtful handmade gifts for those she loved. Marie had a special affection for cats and delighted in their companionship throughout her life. Whether tending her garden, preparing a family meal, or spending time with her beloved feline friends, she found happiness in caring for others.
She is now reunited with her beloved husband and partner in life, Larry Buckley, who passed away on March 16, 2026. She was also predeceased by her parents, Joyce and Gordon Taylor, and her eldest sister, Eileen Owen (Taylor).
Marie was the loving mother of Sheldon (Carrie-Lynn Denis) and Vincent. She was the deeply adored grandmother of Logan and Keeley, and the proud great-grandmother of Elijah. She is also survived by her siblings, Sharon, Danny, Muriel, Rocky, and Shelley, along with many cherished nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the healthcare professionals, caregivers, family members, and friends who provided compassionate care and unwavering support throughout her illness.
Marie will be remembered for her caring heart, her generosity, and the quiet ways she showed her love every day. Though our hearts are heavy with grief, we take comfort in the love she shared, the lessons she taught, and the beautiful memories she leaves behind. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
“Those we love don’t go away; they walk beside us every day.”
