Battlefords Youth Soccer Inc. celebrates Club Day as the season rolls on
With the soccer season well underway, Battlefords United Soccer Club has had its fair share of success, with teams moving up to Division I, athletes developing their skills and, most recently, connecting with clubs around the area for Club Day.
“It’s been awesome to watch our athletes grow into the next division,” said club director Kat Huxley.
During Club Day, athletes had the opportunity to play games in front of their families and welcome other clubs to town. There were food trucks and a raffle table, which included a size 26 World Cup soccer ball among the prizes.
“It was absolutely amazing,” said Huxley. “We had great weather on Saturday and a little bit of rain on Sunday, but that never deterred athletes from showing up and playing and having the best time on the field.”
