Battleford’s Sheldon Graham is $109,672 richer after winning on a LOTTO 6/49 ticket he purchased at the Carlton Trail Co-op in North Battleford.

The win came as a surprise when his sister scanned the ticket on her iPad.

“The amount came up and she thought, ‘This must be wrong!.” Graham said. “She rescanned it several times and then said to me, ‘Sheldon…you’ve got to come look at this!’”

Still skeptical, the siblings checked the winning numbers on the lottery website and compared them to Graham’s ticket. To their shock, every number matched.

Graham then called his mother and asked her to come over and see the ticket for herself.

“She offered to buy me a new outfit for my prize claim interview,” he chuckled. “I haven’t had money all my life, and now I don’t even know what I’m going to do!”

While he is still processing the win, Graham has already started thinking about how he will spend the cash.

“I’m going to buy a new wardrobe to start. Then, I just have to think about it. I’m really excited.”

As the excitement settles in, Graham said the win is beginning to feel more real, though the experience is still hard to believe.
