RCMP arrest Lashburn man in grandparent scam investigation

Saskatchewan RCMP’s General Investigation Section (GIS) has charged 53-year-old man in connection to a grandparent scam investigation that began last year. 

Last month, officers arrested Eric Tiegen from Lashburn and he has since been charged with identity fraud and fraud over $5,000.

Tiegen appeared in North Battleford Provincial Court on May 25, and his next appearance is on June 8. 

Saskatchewan RCMP’s North Battleford Crime Reduction team and Maidstone RCMP also assisted in the investigation.
