In Loving Memory of
Arnold Heppner
December 23, 1930 – May 27, 2026
Arnold was a loved Father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend, passed away peacefully on May 27, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Born on his Grandparents farm site in Dundurn, Saskatchewan on December 23, 1930.
Arnold’s life was enriched by his many family members and friends. He was an entrepreneur, businessman, rancher, farmer, logger and horseman. He worked very hard in the logging industry both physically and mentally from the early 50’s until the early 90’s from which time he passed his industry to his boys to continue. He was a rancher and farmer in those years and continued helping his family to carry on the tradition that he started with his father. His horse days were filled with a lot of ups and downs. He quite enjoyed visiting with his friends in the shed rows and going on trips with them to Kentucky, California and other places to “look for that one good horse” – which he was able to accomplish.
Dad’s mind was very sharp right up to his last breath. His body was worn out from the many years of working, but he never gave up on it. It peddled his “CUBI” and worked his hands with the hand grips every day.
Dad was predeceased by his loving wife, Iris Heppner, of almost 73 years of marriage.
He is lovingly remembered and deeply missed by his children, Lamont (Cecilia) Heppner, Katherine (Brian) Cross, Lavern Heppner, Mark (Robin) Heppner, Gina (John) Bernier, Myles (Jamell) Heppner, Grandchildren Clay (Jodie) Tiegen, Shelley Phoenix, Colin Heppner, Wayne (Ashley) Heppner, Sirena Heppner, Melissa Heppner, Nicole Heppner, Brandie (Ryan) Turgeon, Dylan (Jodi) Heppner, Kyle Heppner, Alexandria Bernier, Mathew (Taylor) Heppner, Sarah (Cody) Baillie, Kayla (Jesse) Nikkol and Emily (Brock) Zakreski, and numerous great grandchildren.
A family internment will be held at the Crescent Ridge Cemetery on June 8, 2026, and a Service and lunch will be held at the Spiritwood Civic Center (Hall) on June 8, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. Spiritwood, SK
