Highway 102 north of La Ronge closed following serious collision  

A highway north of La Ronge is closed as RCMP and other emergency services respond to a serious collision.  

RCMP issued a statement Friday morning saying that Highway 102 just north of the town will be closed for an indeterminate period of time. Motorists should expect delays, slow down and follow the instructions of emergency personnel on scene.  

The investigation is in the preliminary stages and details are limited.  

The La Ronge Fire Department, which also responded, said they have been made aware of a photo of the scene being shared on social media and asked that people stop and delete the photo out of respect for the families of the people involved.
