Daytime highs should be around the mid-teens or higher in the northeast and Prince Albert areas, in the low to mid-teens in La Ronge, and at times over 20 C in the North Battleford region. Shelley said the western side of the province is expected to stay a little warmer over the weekend, and early next week as well.

The northeast and Prince Albert region will see slightly cooler temperatures early next week, with daytime highs between about 5 to 10 C on Monday and Tuesday.  La Ronge will remain in the single digits as well, with North Battleford in the low teens. 

Conditions should remain largely dry over the next week or so, which will hopefully help dry things out in parts of the province that are wet. That will be welcome news to many, as the Water Security Advisory issued a high-flow advisory for a large part of Saskatchewan, while the Meadow Lake area experiences runoff levels consistent with a so-called ‘100-year flood.’ 

“It looks like we’re going to be in a bit of a lull with this pattern in terms of any significant precipitation,” said Shelley. 

Despite the brief drop in temperatures early next week, Shelley said they should bounce back by Wednesday, with highs around the mid-teens, and similar temperatures should continue through the remainder of next week.
