Cochin Community Players present Paul Elliott’s “Exit Laughing”
Audiences are in for an evening of humor, heart, and a touch of mischief as the beloved comedy, Exit Laughing takes the stage at the Cochin Community Hall across two weekends, April 17–19 and April 24–26.
Presented by Cochin Community Players, this lively production tells the story of three long-time friends who routinely gather for their weekly bridge game, following the untimely death of their fourth. What follows is a spirited journey filled with laughter, surprises, and a celebration of friendship that proves life’s later chapters can still hold plenty of excitement.
The play brings experienced CCP veteran Charlotte Lockwood-Baker back to the stage, as well as previous director Donna Slowski. The cast of five is rounded out by three newcomers to the Cochin stage – Kat Carroll, her daughter Zoe Carroll portraying the main character’s daughter, and Jackson Kubbernus. Additionally, a Garfield-esque cat, Twicket, makes her stage debut in a few scenes. Director Clint Barrett says “Exit Laughing is a great opportunity for folks to come together and enjoy a fun night out.”
In addition to the entertainment, audiences take in a delicious meal courtesy of KC’s Kitchen out of Cochin. They’ve catered for the group the last several years and rave reviews have been had from previous attendees, with both the Sunday brunch and Friday/Saturday supper menu. A cash bar featuring not just the usual wine, beer, and highball options, but also zero-proof alternatives for patrons, is available.
