North Stars take on the Nipawin Hawks on the road as chase for the top spot continues
Looking for their fourth straight victory, the Battlefords North Stars are taking a trip to Nipawin to face off with the SJHL’s fourth place Hawks.
The North Stars (28-11-3-2, 1st in Nutrien Division) are fresh off a weekend sweep against the Warman Wolverines, where they won 8-5 on Friday, then 6-5 in the shootout on Saturday.
Drew Williamson and Alessio Nardelli were the stars of the weekend. Williamson had five points (2G-3A) in two games while Nardelli had three points (2G-1A) plus the shootout winner on Saturday.
Like the North Stars, the Hawks (28-14-1-1, 2nd in UPL Division) are also looking for their fourth straight victory. In their last game, the Hawks got a 5-4 win over the La Ronge Ice Wolves. Jack Janzen and Sean Shiels both had a pair of goals in the victory.
