Mrs. Jean Friedenstab

In loving memory of Jean Friedenstab (Haugen) born September 28th 1941 in Kinistino Sk, passed away January 24th 2026 at Villa Pascal.
Jean is remembered by, son Jeff (Leanne) granddaughter Madison of Saskatoon. Daughter Jana (Stephen) grandchildren Samuel and Abbey. Her sisters Carol Eithier of Loreburn, Donna Haugen of Toronto, her brother Leslie Haugen of Saskatoon. Sister in law Lilian Hall of Battleford., brother in law Herb (Alma) Friedenstab of Edmonton Ab. And many nieces nephews and friends. Jean was predeceased by her parents Louis and Hilda Haugen, sisters Vivian Doucette, Delores Haugen. Husband John Friedenstab and Grandson Isaac Neufeld.
Jean was raised on a farm outside of Kinistino Sk. The family raised cattle and horses. Jean and her siblings enjoyed participating in 4-H where they won many awards. Jean loved academics where she excelled as a student, prompting her to pursue a career as a teacher. She taught at many small-town schools. While teaching in Denholm (1963) she met her husband John while he was fixing some bricks on the schoolhouse. They married in 1965. Jean continued teaching until Jeff came along in 1968 and Jana in 1972.
Jean stayed at home, she loved her huge garden, loved her animals, bowling and getting together with friends. When her grandkids came along she loved spending time with them.
