RCMP located four kilograms of suspected cocaine during traffic stop near Maidstone

Four kilograms of suspected cocaine was seized during a traffic stop near Maidstone.

On Jan. 8, the Saskatchewan RCMP Roving Traffic Unit performed a traffic stop on a car travelling on Highway 16 for a vehicle equipment regulations violation.

As a result of further investigation, the driver of the vehicle was arrested and RCMP officers located and seized approximately four kilograms of suspected cocaine.

The 41-year-old female driver from Edmonton, Alberta is charged with:

• One count, possession for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine.
• One count, possession of methamphetamine
